Session 1675, Minutes <br />August 19, 1996 <br /> <br />Page 14 <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8288 - AMENDING CHAPTER 21 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO MOTOR VEHI- <br />CLES AND TRAFFIC BY REPEALING SECTION 21-82, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF <br />A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-82. STOP INTERSECTIONS--VEHICLES <br />TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ESTAB- <br />LISH STOP SIGNS ON LYNN AVENUE AT JACKSON AVENUE. <br />A bill was introduced by Councilmember Thompson, entitled: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SEC- <br />TION 21-82 THEREOF, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO.5891 ENACTED NOVEMBER 9, <br />1992, RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS 'SECTION 21-82. STOP INTERSECTIONS--VEHICLES TO STOP <br />AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS,' BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ESTABLISH <br />STOP SIGNS ON LYNN AVENUE AT JACKSON AVENUE; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE <br />AND PROVIDING A PENALTY." <br /> <br />The bill was assigned No. 8288 and given its first reading. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Mayoir Adams adjourned the meeting at 9:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Dolores A.
