The cost oof these serrvices <br />shall be reimbursable by the graant. The Sccope of Servvices includeed a needs assessmentt, site <br />developmment, prepaaration of preliminaryy A&E draawings, coost estimatees, construuction <br />firms <br />specificaations, assissting with bbidding connstruction aand construction revieww. Many <br />contactedd the City annd the six firms submittinng proposalss are below. <br />Chioddini Bond WolfeeArchimages <br />Lawreence Group FGMTriverrs <br />These prroposals werre evaluatedd on the folloowing criteriaa outlined in the RFQ: <br />1)QQualificationss of the firm <br />2)EExperiencewwith similar pprojects <br />3)KKey project ppersonnel <br />4)SServices to be provided <br />5)HHourly rates oof all personnnel <br />6)EEstimated woork schedulee and timeline <br />7)AAbility to meeet minority/feemale workeer requirement <br />A commiittee was deeveloped to rreview the pproposals coonsisting of tthe Fire Chieef, Assistant Fire <br />Chief, onne member of the fire ddepartment, the grant wwriter, the City Managerr and the Deeputy <br />City Mannager. The ccommittee reeviewed thee proposals aand using thhe above criteria chose three <br />firms for on-site inteerviews whicch were Chiiodini, Archimages, FGM.All for tthese firms have <br />significannt fire stationn design expperience. <br /> cities and <br />Archimagges has worrked with 24ddistricts for ddesign servicces. They hhave submittted a <br />quick timmeline per ouur request aand have weell qualified staff. The CCity has possitive experiience <br />with this firm as theyy designed thhe renovatioon of Fire Hoouse #2, andd supported the City durring a <br />difficult cconstruction process onn that projecct. Other reeferences alsso had posiitive experieences <br />with this firm. <br />At this time, staff reecommendsmoving forwward with Archimages. Staff is evaluating diffferent <br />options <br />rregarding prooject managgement. <br />RECOMMMENDATION: , <br />Due to the need to move quickkly on this prrojectStaffrecommendds the <br />contractbe awardedd to Archimaages. Workk will immeddiately beginn on needs assessmentt and <br />developmment of thee contract. City Counccil will apprrove the coontract agreement oncee the <br />decisionis made reggarding projeect managemment. <br /> <br />
