Bill No. 8282 became Ordinance No. 6064. <br /> <br />BILL FOR INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said the purpose of the following bill (replacing Bill No. 8280) is to add a category to <br />the liquor license ordinance, specifically the St. Louis Symphony Music School. Mr. Wagner has <br />suggested additional language to tighten the definition so the City will not be inundated with applications <br />from other "music schools." He said the definition specifies that the school's principal business must be <br />music, the primary operating revenue must be derived from teaching and performing music, and the <br />school must have at least 500 students. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8283 - AMENDING CHAPTER 4 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC <br />BEVERAGES BY REPEALING SECTIONS 4-7, 4-8, AND 4-22, AND ENACTING IN LIEU <br />THEREOF NEW SECTIONS TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 4-7. LICENSE--CLASSIFICATION <br />OF LICENSES; FEES, TERMS AND REGULATIONS," SECTION 4-8. "LICENSE--ISSUANCE <br />TO BUSINESS NEAR SCHOOL, CHURCH, SYNAGOGUE OR OTHER BUILDING REGULARLY <br />USED AS A PLACE OF RELIGIOUS WORSHIP," AND "SECTION 4-22. HOURS OF SALE; <br />SALE ON SUNDAY; HOURS OF CLOSING," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTIONS SO AS <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF AN INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE TO CERTAIN <br />MUSIC SCHOOLS.
