NEW BUSINESS <br />BILLS <br />Introduced by Mr. Wagner <br />1. <br />BILL 9053 – An ordinance designating a portion of the City of University City, Missouri, as a <br />redevelopment area; approving the Kingsland Walk Redevelopment Plan & Project; making <br />findings relating thereto; approving the RPA-1 redevelopment project described in the <br />Redevelopment Plan and adopting Tax Increment Financing with respect RPA-1; and <br />authorizing certain actions by city officials <br />Introduced by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br />2. <br />BILL 9054 – An ordinance of the City of University City, Missouri approving the RPA-2 <br />redevelopment project pursuant to the Kingsland Walk Redevelopment Plan & Project and <br />adopting Tax Increment Financing with respect to RPA-2 <br />Introduced by Mr. Crow <br />3. <br />BILL 9055 – An ordinance approving a redevelopment agreement in connection with the <br />Kingsland Walk Redevelopment Plan & Project. <br />Mr. Jay Simon of Metropolitan Development Group spoke on their development which was <br />the first for University City under the new TIF laws. He stated the project is located between <br />Metcalfe Park and Vernon and convert it to ninety-eight residential units and 20,000 plus <br />square feet of retail space. Mr. Simon stated that the project will be done in two phases, <br />RPA-1 and RPA-2 as the market allows. The plan is to start next year as soon as the day- <br />care center is relocated. The residential is geared toward the middle and upper income <br />people and they have not identified the retailers yet. <br />Ms. Ricci thanked Mr. Simon for coming but noted that she was not aware that he would be <br />present to speak to the Council and she did not have her information folder with her to ask <br />any questions. <br />Introduced by Mr. Glickert <br />4. <br />BILL 9056 – An ordinance amending Chapter 9.08 of the University City Municipal Code <br />relating to drinking alcohol in public places. <br />Introduced by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br />5. <br />BILL 9057 – An ordinance authorizing the City Manager, on behalf of the City of University <br />City, to enter into and execute an agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation <br />Commission and the City of Pagedale which provides that the city shall receive grant funds <br />for STP-Urban Program Activities on the Ferguson Avenue Bridge <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />6. <br />Resolution 2009 – 24 Grant for Mooney Playground Equipment <br />Resolution 2009 – 24 was introduced by Mr. Wagner, seconded by Mr. Glickert and was <br />approved unanimously. <br /> <br />
