Regular meeting <br />November 21, 2005 <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 – The Consent Calendar <br /> <br />#1 – City Hall Voice/Data Wiring <br /> <br />Requests approval of emergency order for recabling on the second floor by Tech <br />Electronics, Inc. for $18,232. <br /> <br />#2. – Centennial Commons Data/Phone Cabling <br /> <br />Confirmation was required of emergency cabling contract awarded to Tech <br />Electronics, Inc. for $23,975. This contract replaced one awarded earlier which <br />was voided due to failure to perform. <br /> <br />#3 – Rezoning Public Hearing 547 / 551 North & South <br /> <br />Recommended the Public Hearing to be at the City Library at 6:30 p.m. on <br />December 12, 2005. Public comments will be heard on the proposed rezoning of <br />two houses from “SR” Single Family Residential to “LR” Limited Residential <br />which would allow construction of 2-two-family townhome condo dwellings. <br /> <br />#4 – Political Sign Zoning Public Hearing Date – Removed from Consent Calendar <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch moved for approval of the Consent Calendar and was seconded by Mr. <br />Sharpe Jr. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #2 – Public Hearing for Cell Tower Zoning <br /> <br />A Public Hearing was advertised for 6:30 p.m., December 12, 2005, for Cell Tower <br />Zoning. Public comments were heard on limiting the placement of telecommunication <br />towers and related facilities by the Cell Phone Task Force and amended by the <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams declared the Public Hearing open at 6:50 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZENS’ COMMENTS: <br />Kay Drey, 515 West Point Ave. <br />As member of Task Force, Ms. Drey said they had studied cell phone tower ordinances <br />throughout the U.S. and felt they had produced a well documented findings report. <br /> <br />Sandra Lowes, 7425 Teasdale Ave. <br />Also a member of the Task Force and said she was even more convinced of the <br />importance of cell tower zoning.
