<br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />December 12, 2005 <br /> <br />At a Regular Meeting of the City Council of University City held in the City Library auditorium on <br />Monday, December 12, 2005. Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In <br />addition to Mayor Adams, the following Councilmembers were present: <br />Ms. Francine Brungardt <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Ms. Stefany Brot <br />Ms. Shelley Welsch <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was Mr. Ollendorff, City Manager. Councilmember, Ms. Colquitt was excused. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch moved to accept amended minutes of October 10, and was seconded by Ms. Brot, <br />which carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Sharpe Jr. moved to accept amended minutes of October 31 and was seconded by Ms. <br />Welsch, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe Jr. reappointed Edward M. Hansell, Jessica Friedlander and Patrick J. Gallagher to <br />the Library Board for a consecutive three year term each. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams presented a Resolution stating that University City will join other communities in <br />voicing their disapproval of MoDOT completely shutting down Hwy 40 in their attempt to <br />complete the project faster. Mr. Wagner moved for adoption and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe <br />Jr. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 - The Consent Calendar <br /> <br />Item #9 - Olive Enhancement II Change Order, was removed for discussion <br /> <br />#1 - Tree Pruning of 319 Trees and Removal of Three Trees <br />The contract went to the low bidder, Gamma Tree for $18,875.Liquor License <br /> <br />#2. - Liquor License Ownership Change 8501 Delmar <br />Partnership of House of India Restaurant has been bought out by Satish Kumar and is <br />now the sole proprietor. The change was recommended as there have not been any <br />violations. <br /> <br />#3 - Twelve Scott Air Paks for Fire Department <br />Contract was awarded to Battalion Three with low bid of $47,220, for purchase of Fire <br />Department equipment. Budget estimate from Federal Grant was $37,000. <br />
