Persons interested in filing for <br />the following positions of the City Council of University City may pick up a petition and <br />information for filing in the City Clerk’s office, Room 4, second floor of City Hall, 6801 <br />Delmar Blvd., University City, MO. 63130. <br />Mayor – One for an expired four-year term <br />Councilmember – WARD ONE - One for an expired four-year term <br />Councilmember – WARD TWO – One for an expired four-year term <br />Councilmember – WARD THREE – One for an expired four-year term <br />Filing will open at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, and will close at 5:00 PM <br />on Tuesday, January 19, 2010.Name placement on the ballot will be by lottery draw on <br />the first filing day and remaining filing days, each candidate’s name will be placed after <br />those filed on opening day. The election will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. The last <br />day to register to vote in this election is March 10, 2010. For further information, please <br />contact City Clerk, Joyce Pumm at 505-8605. <br />Transit riders are encouraged to attend a December public meeting hosted by Metro <br />comprehensive long-range public <br />and their consulting team. They are working on a <br />transit plan for the region <br />. The process began in June and will wrap up in March of <br />2010. Along the way, the team will engage with citizens from all areas of the region to <br />hear their thoughts on what are the priorities for public transit. On December 14, <br />meetings will be held at St. Louis City Hall, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, 1200 Market St., St. <br />Louis, MO 63103, Room 208, Kennedy Room or December 17 – University of Missouri- <br />St. Louis, 5:00 – 7:00 PM, #1 University Blvd., St. Louis, Mo 63121, J.C.
