<br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />January 9, 2006 <br /> <br />At a Regular Meeting of the City Council of University City held in the City Library auditorium <br />on Monday, January 9, 2006. Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />In addition to Mayor Adams, the following Councilmembers were present: <br />Ms. Francine Brungardt <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Ms. Stefany Brot <br />Ms. Shelley Welsch <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was Mr. Ollendorff, City Manager. Council member, Ms. Colquitt was excused. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br />Ms. Welsch moved to accept amended minutes of November 21,2005 and was seconded by <br />Ms. Brot, which carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Sharpe Jr. moved to accept amended minutes of December 9, 2005 and was seconded <br />by Ms. Welsch, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br />Ms. Brot appointed Mondi Ghasedi to the Historic Preservation Commission. Ms. Brot said <br />Ms. Ghasedi is a lawyer living and practicing in University City and would be a perfect fit for <br />the commission. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION: <br />Honoring Kymo Dockett's literary accomplishment <br /> <br />Mayor Adams gave it to Mr. Ollendorff for his agenda. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff suggested to Mayor that a large portion of people in attendance were from <br />Ames Place and suggested that Bill # 8838 on the Legislative Docket for its second and third <br />reading be addressed now. <br /> <br />This bill is for granting an easement to Metro (Bi-State) greeenspace adjacent to Ames <br />Place. Mr. Ollendorff said that he negotiated an agreement with Metro to relinquish the City's <br />interest in that property and he has recommended to the Council that they adopt the bill <br />granting that easement and approving the agreement. It is Mr. Ollendorff's understanding <br />that Ames Place would like for this bill to be tabled this evening. Mr. Ollendorff said that he <br />still recommends it be approved but asked the Council to take up that question now with the <br />second and third reading. And whatever discussion that involves, so as not to take up <br />everyone's time. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner said that he was in a meeting to discuss this agreement. In attendance at this <br />meeting was the attorney representing Metro but we did not have the attorney representing <br />
