April 6, 2010 January 26, 2010
August 3, 2010 May 25, 2010
November 2, 2010 August 24, 2010
Informational:
10.The recycling marketing program is moving forward.
Recycling Posters for the bus shelter have been printed and posters will be
installed in 3 bus shelters within 5-6 weeks (by Jan. 31). We ordered smaller
sized recycling posters to hang in the City Hall building. They still have to be
framed and will be installed in the next 2-3 weeks.
Door hangers will be hung on the doors of non-recycling homes north of Olive
th
during the week of January 25 (in about 5 weeks). The areas covered will be in
the north central area, the largest non-recycling section of the City. Staff will
deliver the door hangers, distributed with your last weekly, during the recycling
collection routes.
11.parental responsibility ordinance
Chief Adams is working on the mirroring
the City of Normandy’s ordinance. A draft should be available by January 25 for
initial review.
12.Cunningham Park
We plan to have an update on potential
development/expansion and a TIF update
for your January 25 meeting.
13.The East-West Gateway plan was approved by SEMA on 12/14/09
.
SEMA forwarded the plan to FEMA on 12/15/09 via overnight mail. Along with
their submission to FEMA they sent a cover letter and transmittal sheet that
indicated the plan should be reviewed as a first priority among Missouri Plan
submissions due to the pending grant applications. They would not expect
FEMA to use the full 45 day period, but gave us no indication of when they might
complete the review. We will notify Wilson residents of this delay.
Once the decision is made to grant, because the federal portion of the grant is
more than $1 million, FEMA is required to complete a Large Project Notification
to Congress when they are ready to award the grant to the State. This process
usually takes a minimum of 15 days.Once the Large Project Notification is
complete and FEMA awards the grant to the State, SEMA will contact the City to
set up a date/time to complete the grant administration orientation with our
assigned project manager. Once the City signs the Grant Agreement and
Funding Approval forms, the City can start incurring costs against the grant.
14. Themunicipal parking lot #5
located near the Post Office (west Loop) was
reopened at the end of the year. The contractor will be installing a new fence in
the coming weeks, but this should not affect the lot itself. The total project cost is
around $130,000 which includes not only the new permeable pavers, but
sidewalk, curb, entrances, demolition of the old brick wall and installing a new
