Regular meeting <br />March 20, 2006 <br /> <br />PARK PARKWAY ON THE SOUTH, BETWEEN THE WEST LINE OF <br />MEHLVILLE AVENUE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY AND THE EAST <br />LINE OF BIG BEND BOULEVARD <br /> TABLED <br />Mr. Wagner motioned to defeat this bill and was seconded by Ms. Brot. It carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner clarified motion, stating that Mr. Ollendorff needs to rewrite the bill to <br />eliminate the objectionable language. He said that Metro is still legally liable for <br />performing the previously agreements. There is land and building damage in Parkview <br />and problems with the sound wall proposed to be installed by Metro along Forest Park <br />Parkway near the property line near our Parkview residents. Mr. Ollendorff said that we <br />no longer had any leverage to ask Metro to correct the problems Metro created. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch told Mr. Ollendorff that University City may not have the Intergovernmental <br />agreement but she would hope that it would not mean that University City would not <br />work with Metro, possibly forcefully, in order to complete its agreement and repair any <br />damages that Metro incurred. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff told Ms. Brot to have residents that felt they had damages due to Metro’s <br />construction, to call him. <br /> <br />Bill No. 8838 was defeated <br /> <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8858 <br />3. — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE <br />UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PARKING <br />RESTRICTIONS FOR SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING SECTION <br />10.44.010 THEREOF, RELATING TO PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN <br />STREETS AT ALL TIMES, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION <br />TO BE KNOWN AS “SECTION 10.44.010 PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN <br />STREETS AT ALL TIMES,” THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO <br />PROHIBIT PARKING AT ALL TIMES BETWEEN 8218 AND 8230 SWARTHMORE <br />CT; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt moved for adoption and was seconded by Ms. Brot. <br /> <br />The Roll Call vote was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Ms. Brungardt, Mr. Wagner, <br />Ms. Brot, Ms. Welsch, Mr. Sharpe Jr, and Mayor Adams.
