Regular meeting <br />May 1, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br />Indian Food Pakistani and Indian Cuisine has applied for a beer & wine license. Police <br />background investigation revealed no negative issues and all ordinance requirements <br />have been met. The restaurant has been open for more than the typical 6-month <br />waiting period. <br /> Ms. Nazish spoke confirming that her family is only requesting a beer <br />and wine license. <br /> <br />A motion for acceptance was made by Mr. Price and seconded by Ms. Brot. The motion <br />was unanimously approved. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff received four liquor license requests late but needed to bring these <br />requests to the Council at this Regular session as the next session would be past the <br />date for the request. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe Jr. motioned to add these requests to the agenda and was seconded by Mr. <br />Price. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />1. Our Lady of Lourdes, 7148 Forsythe <br />Mr. Ollendorff explained that this is one of their annual events, which is <br />5/27/06. <br /> <br />Mr. Price motioned for approval and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe Jr. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Savor U-City – Heman Park, Sunday, May 28, sponsored by Centennial <br />Committee: The Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America <br />requested a one day beer liquor license for this event. <br /> <br />Ms. Brungardt motioned for approval and was seconded by Ms. Brot. The <br />motion was unanimously approved <br /> <br />3. On behalf of the Centennial Celebration Committee, Michelle Racanelli, the <br />event coordinator, requested four to eight liquor licenses, for potential vendors <br />yet to decide. <br /> <br />Mr. Price motioned for approval and was seconded by Mr. Glickert. The motion was <br />unanimously approved. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br /> <br />Don Singer, Ames Place <br />Mr. Singer spoke on behalf of residents of Ames Place. Mr. Singer was there to thank <br />the City Council members for the open and fair discussion of ideas that Ames place was <br />allowed. He repeated Ames Place’s desire to meet with City Manager and Council to <br />reconcile remaining differences. <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />
