Regular meeting
May 22, 2006

accepted unanimously,

AGENDA ITEM #9 — University Hills Subdivision Street Improvement Project
Mr. Ollendorff requested authorization for the City to sign the petition for the private street
project to bring their streets up to standard and then deed the streets over to the City for
future maintenance. University City’s Flynn Park is located here and is equivalent to
sixteen (16) lots. The cost is estimated to be $3,000 per lot, so the City’s expense would
be $48,000. Mr. Ollendorff said that University Park #3 has received over 50% of resident
signatures and with the sixteen (16) lots owned by the City, they would have the required
75% of resident signatures needed to start the project.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Paul Schoomer, 7 Princeton Pl.
Mr. Schoomer explained that University Heights #1 had a similar situation a while ago.
The City owned lots there too and were entitled to a voice through the City Manager.

Mr. Sharpe Jr. moved for approval and was seconded by Mr. Wagner. The motion was
accepted unanimously.

AGENDA ITEM #10 — Heman Pool Lap Swim Season Pass
Mr. Ollendorff recommended approval to sell up to twenty (2) passes for summer morning
lap swim for $50 for residents and $75 for non-residents. The University City Swim Club
members would have first choice to purchase.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel
Ms. Glickert was against sale of these passes as she felt it would overcrowd the lap
swimmers. She did not mind the swim team purchasing passes they would need as they
already have assigned lanes and would not overflow into other lanes.

Suzanne Schoomer, 7 Princeton
Ms. Schoomer said that she was one that used the morning lap swim and did not mind
opening it up to more. She also would like to see the teachers be offered a reduced price
for joining.

Bob Winters, swim team coach, said that his swim team had a potential of eight (8)
takers.

Mr. Wagner amended it and moved to open up the sale of eight (8) morning lap passes
for members of the swim team. Mr. Wagner’s motion was seconded by Ms. Brungardt.
The motion was accepted with Nay votes from Mr. Sharpe Jr. and Mayor Adams.

PUBLIC COMMENT – NON-AGENDA ITEMS:

Page 7
