He wanted to know what guarantee a <br />ward would have three years down the line that the money slated for that ward would not <br />be used for what Council decided to be of more priority at a new time. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff explained that this will become a public record, therefore would be difficult <br />to do anything contrary. <br /> <br />Ms. Brungardt wanted clarification of Mr. Price’s request to limit the City from awarding <br />contracts to contractors with employment make-up of nationalities found in University <br />City. Mr. Ollendorff spoke saying that it would seek minorities. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved for adoption and was seconded by Ms. Brot. <br /> <br />Polling of Council <br />AYE votes: Mr. Wagner, Ms. Brot, Mr. Sharpe Jr, Mr. Price, Mayor Adams. Ms. <br />Brungardt had been excused and was not present. <br />NAYS: None <br /> <br />Bill number 8878 passed and became Ordinance 6634. <br /> <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READINGS <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8835 — <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO ZONING, BY REPEALING SECTION 34-104.2(5) <br />THEREOF RELATING TO SIGNS IN CONNECTION WITH POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS, <br />OTHER CIVIC NONCOMMERCIAL CAMPAIGNS, OR OTHER NONCOMMERCIAL <br />MESSAGES, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN <br />AS "SECTION 34-104.2(5)" BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO CHANGE <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR SIGN SIZE AND DURATION CONTAINING A SAVINGS <br /> <br />CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot moved for adoption and was seconded by Ms. Brungardt. <br /> <br />Polling of Council <br />AYES: Ms. Brungardt, Ms. Brot, Mr. Sharpe Jr <br />NAYS: Mr. Wagner, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Price, Mayor Adams <br /> <br />Bill No. 8835 was defeated. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams said that he and Mr. Glickert would like the Plan Commission to take a look <br />at size and shape of Political and Non-Political signs and make sure they have some <br />conformity. Mr. Wagner joined Mayor Adams and Mr. Glickert on this.
