Session 1732, Minutes
September 28, 1998

REQUIREMENTS, BY CONTRACT, SETTING FORTH THE TERMS OF THE
PROPOSED CONTRACT THEREFORE BETWEEN THE CITY AND AMEREN
UE COMPANY, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, AND PERMITTING SAID
COMPANY TO ERECT, OPERATE, AND MAINTAIN POLES, LINES, WIRES,
CABLES, TRANSFORMERS, AND OTHER APPLIANCES IN THE STREETS
AND ALL OTHER PUBLIC PLACES, NECESSARY FOR AND APPROPRIATE
TO THE PERFORMANCE OF SAID CONTRACT AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.

The bill was given its first reading and assigned #8405.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Mayor Adams asked Mr. Ollendorff if there was a time requirement before boarded up
windows and doors had to be repaired, He was concerned with the building on Delmar
at Melville. The window had been boarded up a very long time, which does not help the
fact that the building looks a little tacky in the first place. Mr. Ollendorff said that he
believed that the building owner had been issued a violation, but he does not know the
time element. He will check on it and get back with the Mayor. The Mayor asked that
any predications against this building should be moved on quickly.

Ms. Colquitt asked that the City Manager also check on a boarded up home at Liberty
and Midland.

Mr. Lieberman mentioned the old hamburger joint on Olive and Midland, across from
the Walgreen's. He remarked that this site looked horrible and did not help our efforts
to upgrade Olive. He asked that the City consider razing it, which would look a lot
better.

ADJOURNMENT:

Mayor Adams announced the next regular meeting for the City Council would be on
October 12% same time and place. Mayor Ad~s adjourned the --meeting at 7:50 p.m.

Leisha K. Meine, C~'C4erk
