Session 1732, Minutes <br />September 28, 1998 <br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS, BY CONTRACT, SETTING FORTH THE TERMS OF THE <br />PROPOSED CONTRACT THEREFORE BETWEEN THE CITY AND AMEREN <br />UE COMPANY, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, AND PERMITTING SAID <br />COMPANY TO ERECT, OPERATE, AND MAINTAIN POLES, LINES, WIRES, <br />CABLES, TRANSFORMERS, AND OTHER APPLIANCES IN THE STREETS <br />AND ALL OTHER PUBLIC PLACES, NECESSARY FOR AND APPROPRIATE <br />TO THE PERFORMANCE OF SAID CONTRACT AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned #8405. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked Mr. Ollendorff if there was a time requirement before boarded up <br />windows and doors had to be repaired, He was concerned with the building on Delmar <br />at Melville. The window had been boarded up a very long time, which does not help the <br />fact that the building looks a little tacky in the first place. Mr. Ollendorff said that he <br />believed that the building owner had been issued a violation, but he does not know the <br />time element. He will check on it and get back with the Mayor. The Mayor asked that <br />any predications against this building should be moved on quickly. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt asked that the City Manager also check on a boarded up home at Liberty <br />and Midland. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman mentioned the old hamburger joint on Olive and Midland, across from <br />the Walgreen's. He remarked that this site looked horrible and did not help our efforts <br />to upgrade Olive. He asked that the City consider razing it, which would look a lot <br />better. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams announced the next regular meeting for the City Council would be on <br />October 12% same time and place.
