INTRODUCED BY: DATE: February 22, 2010 <br />9061 <br />BILL NO. ORDINANCE NO. ________ <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY TO <br />ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, <br />MISSOURI, FOR MOSQUITO CONTROL SERVICES AND <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY <br />OF UNIVERSITY CITY TO ENTER INTO ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY A <br />CONTRACT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI, FOR MOSQUITO <br />CONTROL SERVICES. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br /> The City Manager of University City is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into and execute a contract with St. Louis County, Missouri, whereby said perform <br />mosquito control services within University City. <br />Section 2. <br /> The City shall compensate St. Louis County, Missouri, for hand spraying <br />(larviciding) adulticiding, and/or power spraying (fogging), at the hourly rate set forth in the <br />contract as such rate is charged in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract <br />between the City and St. Louis County, Missouri. <br />Section 3. After execution thereof; this agreement shall be in effect for one (1) year <br />with four (4) automatically renewable one (1) year periods (maximum five years).
