Ms. Watson stated that with the timing and effort of personnel changes and <br />new software, there just wasn’t enough time to do it but she fully expects to have one <br />completed by June 30, 2010. <br />2. <br />Conditional Use Permit for 6665 Delmar Blvd. for Ginger Asian Bistro A conditional use <br />permit is required because the applicant is proposing a restaurant on the ground floor in <br />the Core Commercial District. The application did not require a public hearing but it did <br />require approval by Council. <br />Ms. Ricci asked if there was any feed-back from any of the surrounding retail operations. <br />Ms. Feier stated that the Loop Special Business weighed in favor of it but she was not <br />aware of any individual response. <br />Mr. Price moved to approve, seconded by Mr. Glickert and was passed unanimously. <br />J. NEW BUSINESS <br />BILLS <br />Introduced by Mr. Price <br />1. <br />BILL 9060 – An ordinance approving a final subdivision plat of a tract of land to be <br />known as Vernon Ave. Station House Subdivision and located at 6601 Vernon Ave. <br />Bill 9060 had its first readying. <br />Mr. Crow asked if the City heard any feedback from the surrounding neighborhood of <br />the subdivision occurring and the City Manager said she did not hear anything on the <br />approval of the final subdivision plat. <br />Mr. Glickert asked about the clarity of the entrance and exit of fire trucks. Ms. Feier <br />stated it would be on Eastgate and one-way direction would be reversed. <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />2. <br />Resolution 2010 -2 Budget Amendment #2 <br />Failed by a majority with four AYE votes from Mr. Price, Mr. Crow, Mr. Sharpe and <br />Mayor Adams. <br />Ms. Watson prepared two handouts, the first showing a line graph of the history of <br />the county-wide sales tax showing at its lowest return in the last ten years. The <br />second line graph showed the general fund sales tax month by month for FY 09 and <br />FY10. City Manager Ms. Feier stated that before Council was a resolution budget <br />amendment, predominantly what it is an adjustment downward for sales tax not <br />received. It was balanced out with a number of vacancies in staff, along with a <br />number of items Council had requested, which is the basis of the resolution. The <br />budget amendment included various revenue accounts adjusted down for the year, <br />property rental registration removed, legislative issues, start up cost of the Youth Job <br />Corp Program, transfer of fund from advertising to Home Rehabilitation Grants, <br />reduction for vacancies in the Police department, removal of Community <br />Development demolition and board up cost, as it will be accounted for in the <br />Revolving Fund, and reduction in Flynn Park Tennis Court local grant match.
