<br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />January 25, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the City Hall, <br />on Monday, January 25, 2010, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In <br />addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier and City Attorney John Mulligan. <br /> <br />C. PROCLAMATION <br />1. <br />John Mulligan <br />St. Ann City Administrator Matt Connelly presented Mr. Mulligan a proclamation to honor <br />him for his award from the Missouri Lawyers Weekly and more specifically all the time, effort <br />and hard work securing over $400,000 in back taxes from the cell phone companies. <br />Mayor Adams presented Mr. Mulligan a proclamation from the Mayor thanking him for all his <br />good work for University City. <br /> <br />2. <br />Traci Moore-Clay <br />Mayor Adams stated that he will be giving another proclamation that was not on the agenda. <br />The proclamation was issued tonight as the award to Traci Moore-Clay, the returning artist <br />for the year, would be presented before the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert moved to amend the agenda to move an agenda item up to accommodate all the <br />citizens present to speak on lighting issues in the private subdivisions. He asked to have it <br />moved to the City Manager’s report right after item number one, Youth Job Corp. The ,motion <br />was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci asked to be clear to herself and to the public on the proclamation to Mr. Mulligan <br />stating that it is from the Council of University City. She noted that it was not from the Council <br />as if it was she could not support it. Ms. Ricci said that although Mr. Mulligan is a nice person, <br />he has some issues in representation of this City and she wanted to be clear to the public that <br />she would not put her name on this proclamation. <br /> <br />Mr. Price asked for corrections to the minutes. He asked that under citizen comments of Ms. <br />Marilyn Williams, it be added that she mentioned that the U City Alumni Association made a <br />donation of $5,000 to the U City High School for new stadium sound system in their effort to <br />work with the schools of University City. Mr. Price also asked that all of Mr. McCarthy’s citizen <br />comment be recorded. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci also asked that the comments of Mr. Price to Mr. McCarthy also be reflected in the <br />minutes. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
