This collaboration will fund a $300,000 project with the City <br />portion being approximately $15,000. <br />Invitations for Bids were issued and the following bids were received. <br />Vendor <br /> Bid Price <br /> Strassner Tennis Court Builders $298,799 <br /> Frazier-Davis Construction Company $298,533 <br /> Byrne & Jones Construction $361,060 <br /> Australian Courtworks, Inc. $312,800 <br /> Trans Texas Tennis Courts $281,295 <br />The rehabilitation of tennis courts is a specialized field and the City had a positive <br />experience working with Trans Texas on the Heman Park courts. This firm <br />specializes in post-tension concrete tennis courts. After five years, these courts <br />appear like new. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the bid be awarded toTrans Texas <br />for the low bid of $281,295. <br /> <br />
