Mr. Price said to Mr. Glickert the issue he has is to revisit the fee and not isolate just one.
Ms. Ricci said the information does not tell Council the dollars the increases would generate
for the City. The City Manager did not have line item numbers. Ms. Ricci said that would be
one thing the Council would want to know. Ms. Ricci motion was to postpone a
consideration of a vote on the park fees to a future date to allow reflections of Mr. Price, Mr.
Glickert and herself and any other Councilmembers be addressed. Mr. Glickert removed his
motion and seconded Ms. Ricci’s motion to postpone.
Mr. Price asked to see from the City Manager if we grew family membership by “x” amount
for “x” dollars to see what economic impact that would have from a base line of where it is
presently.
Mr. Crow asked that prior to bring it back to a Regular Council Session the Council
discusses it in the Study Session prior to the meeting with the Director of Parks Ms.
MacCartney and the Parks Commission be present.
Mayor Adams asked that Councilmembers with questions submit them early for staff to be
able to provide information requested.
Ms. Ricci acknowledge the postponement would be to the April 12 meeting subject to
having Ms. MacCartney available and information requested by Council be received.
Mr. Sharpe asked the City Manager if postponement would interfere with the guide
publication. Ms. Feier said she would have to check on that. More difficult, she said would
be to have a study session as the April 12 study session was to be on Community
Development. She said Ms. MacCartney will definitely be present.
The motion to postpone to April 12, 2010 was unanimous.
Ms. Feier noted that also on the April 12, 2010, Study Session a representative will be
present form the State to explain how the audit will take place.
4.
Conditional Use Permit for 7201 Balson for a coffee shop.
Ms. Ricci felt this was a fabulous idea and had thought that it was already zoned that way.
Mr. Price moved to approve the Conditional Use Permit, seconded by Mr. Glickert and was
approved unanimously.
J. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
BILLS
1.
BILL 9061 - An ordinance An ordinance authorizing the City of University City to enter into
and execute a contract with St. Louis County, Missouri, for mosquito control services and
authorizing and directing the City Manager of the City of University City to enter into on
behalf of said City a contract with St. Louis County, Missouri, for mosquito control services.
4
