<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - 4 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PARKVIEW GARDENS PARK PLAN. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City has adopted a Park Master Plan; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City Park Master Plan identifies that one of the <br /> highest priorities is the redevelopment of the parks in Parkview Gardens <br /> neighborhood; Metcalfe, Ackert and Eastgate; and <br /> WHEREAS, by partnering with Washington University and Parkview Gardens a <br /> planning process was initiated; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parkview Gardens Park Plan incorporated participation from <br /> community stakeholders, an advisory committee met throughout the year to <br /> assist the consultants, H3 Studios, to develop a Parkview Garden Park Plan; <br /> and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parkview Gardens Park Plan recommends to open up Metcalfe <br /> as a destination park, to utilize a redesigned Ackert Park to connect east and <br /> west neighborhoods, and to relocate Eastgate Park to two parks with residential <br /> fronting the parks from all sides; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parkview Gardens Park Plan has identified the next step in the <br /> process to implement the concept set forth in the Parkview North/Delmar <br /> Neighborhood Plan. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> The City of University City will adopt the Parkview Gardens Park Plan and <br /> proceed to develop a Parkview North/Delmar Neighborhood Plan. <br /> <br /> Adopted the 22"d day of February, 2010. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ay7~seph Adams <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> Pu m, City Clerk <br />
