that the City needs to finalize the Wilson flood homes and the extension of the other flooded homes. Mr. Sharpe thanked Ms. Watson for her help and assistance as the acting City Manager. He said at a meeting of the Missouri Municipal League noted that there are many issues before them as there are many things before the Council, one being getting a new City Manager. He asked for everyone’s support and input on what the Council is doing which would give them transparency. Mr. Sharpe noted the Council is showing some kind of unity so the residents will be proud of their efforts. Mr. Kraft stated that he has been on the Board for Anti-Defamation for years and chaired the Civil Rights Commission as the only non-attorney. He said he hoped that words said can become a teachable moment from which we learn. In the spirit of inclusiveness he noted that every thing was passed unanimously. Mr. Kraft stated that he feels if they work together they can meet the many challenges that are ahead of them. Mr. Crow welcomed Ms. Watson and joined Mr. Glickert to congratulate Ms. MacCartney and Ms. Eastman on their awards.He asked Ms. Watson to give them an update on the Flynn Park tennis court progress and completion. He thanked all who came out to participate in the City’s process. Mr. Crow stated that when he first ran for City Council he ran to be able to give back to his community to make it a better place for his partner and himself to raise their kids. When he decided to run for Mayor he laid out a vision for the City and over the past nine months he had the extreme pleasure from citizens of all three wards and walks of life and learned of their challenges and concerns. Mr. Crow stated he was truly sadden when one of the elected officials did choose to divide us. He thanked all the people for their support and phone calls over the Easter email. Mr. Crow noted that he has never put the citizen’s needs behind his own. He said we have had and continue to have a very rich diverse history. Mr. Crow stated that his parents raised him to accept the consequences, to forgive and to move forward. He said he will continue to improve our City to make it a better place for everyone and each day he will espouse the values that he and his partner teach their kids. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. Mr. Glickert moved to go into Executive Session for RSMO 610.021 (1) Legal and (2) Real Estate and (3) Personnel and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe.
