ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.48 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PARKING METERS, BY REPEALING SECTIONS <br />10.48.030, 10.48.070 AND 10.48.100, THEREOF, RELATING TO PARKING METER <br />ZONES, FEES AND HOURS OF OPERATION, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF <br />NEW SECTIONS TO BE KNOWN AS “SECTION 10.48.030 PARKING METERS <br />ZONES, SECTION 10.48.040 PARKING TIME LIMITS, SECTION 10.48.070 PARKING <br />METER FEES AND SECTION 10.48.100 HOURS OF OPERATION,” THEREBY <br />AMENDING SAID SECTIONS SO AS TO REDESIGNATE PARKING METER ZONES, <br />INCREASE PARKING METER FEES FROM FIFTY CENTS ($0.50) TO SEVENTY-FIVE <br />CENTS ($0.75) EACH 60 MINUTES; AND TO INCREASE HOURS OF OPERATION <br />FROM EIGHT AM TO EIGHT PM; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Chapter 10.48 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to parking meters, is <br />hereby amended by repealing Sections 10.48.030, 10.48.040, 10.48.070 and 10.48.100 thereof, <br />relating to parking meter zones -Designated, increase parking meter fees from fifty cents ($0.50) <br />to seventy five cents ($0.75) each 60 minutes; and to increase hours of operation from eight a.m. <br />to eight p.m.; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: <br />Chapter 10.48 PARKING METERS <br />Sections: <br />10.48.030 Parking meter zones--Designated. <br />There is established in the city of University City designated parking meter zones which shall <br />include the following streets or parts of streets: <br />Zone A <br />Parking lot No. 1: Second parking stall from entrance, on the western half of the parking <br />lot at 6320 Delmar Blvd. <br />Zone B <br />Limit Avenue: Both sides from Delmar Boulevard south to the alley. <br />Zone C <br />North and South Boulevard: Both sides from Gannon Avenue to a point one hundred fifty <br />(150) feet south of the south line of Gannon Boulevard. <br />Zone D <br />Delmar Boulevard: Both sides from Sgt. Mike King Drive to the east city limits. <br /> <br />
