<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR SESSION <br />March 22, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the City Hall, <br />on Monday, March 22, 2010, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In <br />addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier and City Attorney John Mulligan. <br /> <br />C. PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. <br />February 22, 2010, Study Session minutes as amended were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Sharpe, and were approved unanimously. <br />2. <br />February 8, 2010, Regular Session minutes as amended were moved for approval by Mr., <br />Wagner seconded by and were approved unanimously. <br /> <br />E. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. <br />Barbara Romaro was nominated to the Arts and Letters Commission by Mayor Adams, <br />seconded by Mr. Price and was approved unanimously. <br />2. <br />Melcine Henderson was nominated to the Arts and Letters Commission by Mr. Sharpe, Jr., <br />seconded by Mr. Glickert and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />F. SWEARING IN <br />1. <br />Paulette Carr was sworn in to the Plan Commission. <br /> <br />G. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1. <br />Public Hearing to consider the application for text amendment to zoning code to add <br />Division 34-89 Clifford Row Historic District to Article 6 of University City Zoning Code. <br />The Public Hearing was opened at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS: <br />Richard Chase, 6669 Kingsbury <br />Mr. Chase was present to speak on behalf of the Clifford Row Historic District. He asked all the <br />residents of the Clifford Row Historic District present to stand in support of this application. He <br />stated the proposed historic district consisted of five houses, all in the historic architectural style <br />that was popular around the beginning of twentieth century when University City was founded. <br />According to University City ordinances, areas that have unique architectural styles are <br />appropriate for historic districts. There are no other homes in the University City with this arts <br />and crafts style and therefore are unique. Mr. Chase also acknowledged the assistance of <br />Esley Hamilton, the County Historian. <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
