<br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY 10, 2006 <br /> <br />The Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of <br />the City Hall, on Monday, July 10, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Ms. Francine Brungardt <br />Ms. Stefany Brot <br />Mr. Byron Price <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> <br />Also present were the City Manager, Frank Ollendorff and the future City Manager, Julie <br />Feier. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />June 26, 2006, Regular Council session minutes were moved for adoption as amended by <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr., seconded by Ms. Brot and unanimously approved. <br />June 26, 2006, Study session minutes were moved for adoption as amended by Mr. <br />Sharpe Jr., seconded by Ms. Brungardt and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />None <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />1. DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION <br />Authorizes the City to apply for the new economic assistance initiative through the <br />Missouri Department of Economic Development. Six to ten communities will be <br />selected which will have an array of state programs and technical assistance to <br />assist with business development, historic preservation, public infrastructure, fagade <br />renovation, and housing development. The application must be received no later <br />than August 1, 2006. The City's intent is for use on Olive. <br /> <br />CITY MANGAGERS AGENDA <br />AGENDA ITEM NO.1 - Consent Calendar <br />1. Lawn Mower for Park Maintenance <br />The budget was estimated for $18,000 and was recommended to be awarded to <br />Art's Lawnmower low bidder for $21,391. <br /> <br />2. Govern Expansion - pulled for farther discussion <br /> <br />3. Concrete Cart Paths - pulled for farther discussion <br /> <br />4. Request for Permit to Solicit - Fund for Public Interest Research <br />
