The lowest bidder at the May 2ltn bid opening for the self contained leaf collection system was <br />Partners Manufacturing Group with a unit price of $31,000. However a background check <br />revealed that there have been problems with their service delivery and the reliability of their <br />equipment. They are a smaller company out of Ohio without a service representative in the St. <br />Louis area. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends replacing two self contained leaf collection units by <br />purchasing them from Gld Dominion Brush of Kansas City, MG. Their bid was just $24 dollars more than the lowest bid and they are a more well known and respected provider of municipal <br />products. They have service representatives in the St. Louis area and they provided references <br />from local municipalities. <br />June 21, 2010 I-3-2 <br />
