City of <br />University <br />city <br />Council Agenda Item Cover <br />MEETING DATE: June 21, 2010 <br />AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Annual Order for Police Uniforms <br />AGENDA SECTION: Consent <br />CAN THIS ITEM BE RESCHEDULED? : No <br />BACKGROUND REVIEW: Invitations For Bids were issued to eight vendors for <br />Police Uniforms which includes uniform pants, shirts, raincoats, boots, gloves, <br />hats and miscellaneous accessories. Only one bid was received: <br />Leon Uniform--------------------------------------------------------------X27,506.49 <br />Leon Uniform has provided excellent products and service to the Police <br />Department. The majority of the prices bid this year remained the same. There <br />was a slight decrease in some product prices which resulted in a total price which <br />was less than last year's bid of $27,841.19. <br />RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the award be made to Leon <br />Uniform for their bid of $27,506.49. <br />June 21, 2010 I-5-1 <br />
