LOUIS
COUNTY UNDER TITLE II-B OF THE COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973,
AS AMENDED
A bill was introduced by Councilmember Adams, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
UNIVERSITY CITY, A CONTRACT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY UNDER TITLE II-B OF THE COMPREHEN-
SIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973, AS AMENDED, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANA-
GER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND PAPERS REQUIRED FOR THE EXECUTION OF SAID
EXTENDED CONTRACT."
The bill was assigned No. 7553 and given its first reading.

MISCELLANEOUS
In response to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said the bill on Gay Avenue would not
be ready until after the engineering was completed; however, it appeared that a 28
foot wide street, which was requested by residents, would be adequate. That also
meant that several trees could be saved.

Mr. Lieberman called attention to a Plan Commission recommendation that would amend
the "PA" Public Activity District section of the Zoning Code. He said this was an
important change, and the City should proceed by requesting a public hearing.
Mrs. Metcalfe added that this recommendation from the Plan Commission was unanimous.
She said the proposed amendment adds an additional use, that of offices, in those
districts, but only with Council approval as a conditional use. The types of of-
fices to be permitted would include business, professional, medical and institution-
al offices. She said a public hearing was required and that it was important to
schedule soon, since there was some urgency in this change. She also asked that
the appropriate bill be prepared and ready.
The public hearing was scheduled for October 25, 1982 at 8:00 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Mooney declared the meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.

Dolores A.
