Mr. Melvin Withrow requested waiver on lot (30' x 143') east of his home for a larger yard and garden.. Taxes and mowing charges amount to $273.24. Ply'" 4ift) Mrs. Thompson moved approval of waiving taxes and liens on all three properties. Mr. Levy seconded the motion. He asked if there was a frontage to the first lot. Mr. Ollendorff said it was a corner lot at Etzel and Kingsland, although Mr. Ken- dall lived on Crest, Mr. Schoomer asked if the adjacent owner had been contacted. Mr. Ollendorff said a letter had gone out about six weeks ago, informing adjacent owners of the availability of property next to theirs, but this particular owner did not respond. He said the Kendall lot was buildable, but was zoned residential and was unlikely ever to be zoned commercial, He noted very little building was going on in that area. All voted Aye. PERSONNEL REPORT The Personnel report for the week ending July 24, 1982 was received and ordered filed. BILLS FOR SECOND READING BILL NO. 7542 - AMENDING CHAPTER 18 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO LICENSE AND BUSINESS REGULATIONS BY REPEALING SECTION 18-19, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 18-19. LISTING OF BUSINESSES HAVING SET FEES; AMOUNTS OF FEES," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO INCREASE THE LICENSE FEE FOR AUTOMATIC COIN-OPERATED MACHINES. Bill No. 7542 was given its second reading. It was pointed out that Mr. Lieberman had asked that consideration of this bill be postponed until the next meeting, when he will be in attendance. It was so ordered. BILL NO. 7543 - FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO FIRE CAPTAINS AND FIREFIGHT- ERS AS ENUMERATED HEREIN.FROM AND.AFTER JUNE 30, 1982. Bill No. 7543 was given its second reading. Bill No. 7543 was given its third reading. Mr. Levy moved that this bill be adopted as an ordinance. Mrs. Metcalfe seconded the motion. Upon roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYES: Councilmembers Metcalfe, Levy, Schoomer, Thompson and Mayor Mooney. NAYS: None. Bill No. 7543 became Ordinance No. 5341. BILL NO. 7544 - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING BY AMENDING PARAGRAPH "34-37.5 SITE PLAN APPROVAL REQUIRED," BY DELETING INDOOR COMMERCIAL AMUSEMENTS FROM THOSE USES PERMITTED BY SITE PLAN APPROVAL.
