<br /> MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR SESSION <br />February 14, 2011 <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, on <br />Monday, February 14, 2011. Mayor Shelley Welsch called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. In <br />addition to Mayor Welsch, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Mr. Stephen Kraft <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Ms. Lynn Ricci arrived at 6:35 p.m. <br />Also in attendance were Student Representative Rachel Sobotka and City Manager Lehman <br />Walker. <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />No changes were presented. Agenda carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. <br />January 20, 2011, Study Session on Budget-Pension – a quorum was not present <br />2. <br />January 24, 2011, Regular City Council Session minutes as amended were moved for <br />approval by Mr. Sharpe and carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Crow asked that a correction be made to his statement on page five to say informational <br />technology department, instead of informational system and his statement on page eight <br />be conducted in housefall <br />“Mr. Crow asked if the environmental audit would rather than <br />within house <br /> with no additional cost. <br /> <br />F. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. <br />Katie Cohen was nominated by Mr. Price to the Human Relations Commission, was <br />seconded by Mr. Sharpe and carried unanimously. <br />2. <br />Matthew Nosko was nominated by Mr. Crow to the Human Relations Commission, was <br />seconded by Mr. Glickert and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />G. SWEARING IN <br />1. <br />Marva Miller was sworn in to the Human Relations Commission <br /> <br />H. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION (Total of 15 minutes allowed) <br /> <br />Linda Locke, 6925 Cornell <br />Ms. Locke was present on behalf of husband, State Representative Rory Ellinger to mention <br />the panel he is sponsoring next week on pay-day lending in University City, Wellston and <br />Pagedale. It is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on February 24 at the Commons. They will be <br />accepting testimonies from citizens who would like to express their experiences with pay-day <br />lenders.
