<br />Meeting Minutes – University City Green Practices Committee <br />January 12, 2011 <br />Location:University City City Hall, Second Floor Conference Room <br />Attendees: Jerry Breakstone, Hilary Davidson, Linda Fried, Lynnette Hicks, Donna Leach-Heimos, Tim <br />Michels, Neville Rapp, Lynn Ricci, Lois Sechrist <br />Absent: <br />Visitors: <br />1.Opening Round <br />a.Do not need to set alternate dates for the GPC Town Hall public forums. Three meetings are <br />scheduled. That should cover bad weather and give residents a choice of which meeting to attend. <br />2.Administrative items: <br />a.The November minutes were approved as revised. <br />b.The December minutes will be edited/ revised and resubmitted at the March meeting. <br />c.Next meeting dates: <br />i.The February 8 meeting will be a Town Hall public forum, 6-9 pm in the auditorium at the <br />U City Public Library. <br />ii.The next committee meeting will be March 9, 2011 6:00 pm – 7:30 p.m., University City <br />nd <br />Hall, 2 Floor Conference Room. <br />3.Green Practices Commission bylaws: <br />a.The document will be discussed at the March committee meeting. <br />b.Lois will make revisions to the document as discussed at the January meeting and issue prior to <br />the March meeting. <br />4.Green Practices Town Hall meetings: <br />a.Define “green practices” <br />b.Publicize the meetings via Twitter, Facebook, flyers posted at U City buildings, U City Patch, U <br />City public bulletin boards, word of mouth <br />c.Format for the meetings: <br />i.30 minutes – sign-in, view display tables, informal discussion <br />ii.45 minutes – Powerpoint presentation (adapted from the City Council presentation); after <br />each topic is introduced, committee member assigned to that topic will speak <br />iii.30-45 minutes – Q&A <br />iv.Remainder of time – Break-out to individual tables, informal discussion <br />1.Each committee member will provide hand-outs, flyers, display board(s), etc. for <br />their respective table. Other groups (such as River Des Peres Watershed <br />Coalition) may be invited to provide displays also. <br />d.No refreshments will be served. <br /> <br />
