<br /> <br /> MINUTES OF THE CALOP BOARD MEETING <br />JUNE 15, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting convened at 6:05 p.m. at the CableTEC office, 8390 Delmar. In <br />attendance were: Cameron Sanders, Jon Galloway, Ed Nickels, Dennis <br />Riggs, Jim Kirchherr, Karol Walters, Eric Friedman, and Eleanor Mullin. <br /> <br />Minutes of the May 20th meeting: Jon moved we accept the minutes, Jim <br />seconded, approved by acclamation <br /> <br />Cameron announced that Frank Ollendorf will be retiring this summer. <br /> <br />Cameron introduced two guests--Heather and Lauren Katz, U.C,. residents who <br />wished to attend the meeting. <br /> <br />Cameron then introduced our guest speaker, Dick Goldbaum from Transitions in <br />Leadership, a firm which helps groups who are moving from one form to <br />another. <br /> <br />Mr. Goldbaum led a discussion which brought us to the following <br />thoughts/questions regarding finding an appropriate executive director: 1. Should <br />we look for one person to handle this, or an agency, 2. Can we find one or two <br />other groups with similar interests/missions with whom we can share a director, <br />3. We first need to define what we need the director to do (Executive Director <br />Survey and proposed agreement for Exec. Director distributed). <br /> <br />At 6:30, Jon moved we go into executive session, Eric seconded, approved by <br />acclamation. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />At 6:50 Eleanor moved we leave executive session, Jon seconded, approved by <br />acclamation. <br /> <br />Cameron introduced John Dalzell, executive Director for Campbell House. He <br />spoke about his current attempts to bring some small arts groups together to <br />combine administrative services and fund raising possibilities. He can provide us <br />these services on a part time basis, would contract this at an hourly rate. <br /> <br />At 7:05, Jim moved we go into executive session, Jon seconded, approved by <br />acclamation (At this point, Eleanor had to excuse herself from the meeting; Jon <br /> <br />
