meeting. Eric seconded, approved by acclamation.

ADDITIONAL GRANT: Cameron reported that Dennis has suggested we grant
additional money to Art Holiday to help complete the Johnny Be Good
documentary, which has gained international exposure, and both Cameron and
Dennis feel could actually make money for CALOP. It was decided that we will
ask Art to attend the next meeting, show the trailer he has for the film, and tell us
what he still needs monetarily.

VIDEO HISTORY Esley Hamilton spoke about the proposed video history of U.
City residents. This is not to create a film, but simply to have footage of long time
residents speaking about their own experiences, which a future documentarian
could use. To start, the concentration would center on the African-American and
Jewish communities. Eleanor reported that the April meeting minutes reflected
we agreed to initially fund this project with $25,000.00. Cameron, Dennis and/or
Jim will help guide the technical/ camera angle of the project.

GRANT ROUND: we decided that the deadline for the next grant round should
be December 15, 2006. To facilitate this, we have planned an extra meeting on
January 4th, 2007 to distribute the proposals. The regular January meeting, on
January 18, 2007, would begin the discussion of the proposals. Hopefully,
interested members could pick the proposals up a few days after the 15th from
Dennis at the HEC offices.

MEETING SCHEDULE: We are now set to have Thursday meetings on:
October 19, November 16, January 4, January 18.

CENTENNIAL FILM: Ed reported he met with Steve Behrens, and has seen part
of the film, which looks great, and will probably run over an hour. Steve is
editing as he goes, which will allow the final film to finish quickly. It was
suggested that we ask Steve to come to a meeting soon and show what he has.
Eleanor suggested that once it is done, we plan a formal premiere of the show,
as we did with the First Century Film. Although no formal vote was taken,
members seemed to think this a good idea.

AWARD: Liquid Light has won a national award, the TELLY. We are ordering a
statuette to present to the City. Two ideas emerged from this. First, purchasing
a case in which to display this and other awards at City Hall. Second, seeing if
the Tivoli would be interested in displaying awards.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., Eleanor moved we adjourn, Eric seconded, approved
by acclamation.

Respectfully submitted,

Eleanor Mullin, CALOP Secretary
