No new information. <br /> <br />Lions Gate 100 Year Anniversary – Dan Martin & Tom McCarthy <br /> <br /> <br />The Historical Society is going to move forward with the small papier maiche, <br />th <br />lions for all 4 Graders to decorate. A surplus of lions will be purchased for the <br />celebration weekend, for children to decorate. These will be sold for donation <br />only. <br /> <br /> <br />Dan reiterated that A & L, we are not officially on this committee. We will serve <br />as an advisor only. We will consult on the selection of artists. This will either be <br />an RFP, or individual artists will be invited to participate. <br /> <br /> <br />5 to 6 lions have sponsorships. <br /> <br /> <br />Artists will be compensated for their work. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br /> <br />Calendar – City Council loves the 2009 U City Calendar. There was discussion to <br />add another category in the photo show of “calendar only” but no motion was <br />made. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br /> <br />Dan Martin proposes to get name tags for Commissioners to wear to events, with <br />the A & L logo. He will order them and be paid by Lisa. <br /> <br /> <br />Tom informed us that he still has t-shirts from the concert series. We can design <br />new ones or order additional from the current design. <br /> <br /> <br />Diane reminded us that this is the last weekend for To Kill A Mockingbird at the <br />Edison Theater, preformed by the Metro Theater Group (a U City group). <br />st <br /> <br /> <br />Lisa announced that Saturday, Jan. 31, The Big Read will be at the RAC doing <br />an art exploration of Kill A Mockingbird.
