Photo Show

As chair of this project, Barbara will be sending out announcements this summer. This
notice will include information about the photo seminar in August. Barbara Romero
has offered to help with this project. She was chair of this event when she served on
the commission before.

Starlight Concerts

Tom reported for Kim to say that all concerts are booked. She is under budget and
would like to have a concert in the Fall. Tom reminded the commissioners that the
new starting time for the concerts is 6:30 p.m. in the South location in the park. We
should bring out calendars to the next meeting so that we can sign up to help at the
concerts.

Festival of U. City
Barb and Tom reported that plans are in place. Tom reported on the status of the
pianos for the big “PLAY IN.” One piano is on display in The Commons that Julie
painted. This piano was also played at the Sculpture reception. Instead of moving the
piano to Claire’s studio, she will paint one at The Commons.

Marketing development

The Arts and Letters logo has been chosen. Now we need signage for our many
events. Tom suggested that we need a large banner. The commission agreed that the
banner should be the logo that will be done in color.

Treasurer’s Report

Dan presented the report. People thanked him for the format of the report. It is very
easy to read. Melcine questioned the $1.50 fee on the report. Tom said that it was a
fee for the bank card. They agreed that they do not use that card so Dan will check on
that.

Old Business

There was a question about the faux bronze plaque. Tom said that he would check on
that.

New Business

There was no new business.
Adjournment

Claire moved to adjourn and it was seconded by Barb Romero at 7:54p.m
