Memorandum, 10-16-91 Board of Adjustment Meeting Page 2 of 2 <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS <br />Chairperson Portman announced his resignation from the Board, becoming effective October 22, <br />1991. Mr. Brown noted Chairperson Portman's exemplary service to the Board during Mr. Portman's <br />tenure as Chairperson. Brent Mandry was elected by a vote of 5 - 0 to serve one year in the position <br />of Chairperson. James R. Harris was elected by a vote of 5 - 0 to serve one yaer in the position of <br />Vice Chairperson. It was announced that Mr. Boyd will be resigning from the Board on December <br />20, 1991. It was discussed that Mr. Dickenson will be leaving the Board in the near future because <br />he will be moving out of University City, no formal date for his resignation has been given. It was <br />announced that Mary McGrath Tonkin was appointed to the Board of Adjustment as Second <br />Alternate for an unexpired term ending July 7, 1994. <br />CASE #2311 - REAR YARD VARIANCE AND DISTANCE BETWEEN STRUCTURES <br />VARIANCE AT 7030 DARTMOUTH, GERALD BURBANK, JR. <br />This public hearing was originally continued to the November 20, 1991 meeting, by a vote of 5 - 0, <br />because the applicant had not appeared by 7:50 p.m. However, the applicant appeared at 7:55 p.m. <br />and the hearing was recommenced. Gerald Burbank, Jr. requested variances of Sections 34-30.3(d) <br />and 34-52.5(c) in order to permit construction of a rear porch reducing the required 30' rear yard to <br />23'2" and placed 6' less than the required 10' distance to an accessory structure at 7030 Dartmouth. <br />The variances were granted by a vote of 5 - 0. <br />cc: Darwin Portman, Brent K.
