A Board of Adjustment meeting was held on Wednesday, October <br />20, 1993 in the E.O.C. Meeting Room in the basement of City Hall. Hill, Zoning Administrator <br />Case #2357 - Sign variance for directory sign at 8310-14 Olive, Jay E. Cohn for Boatmen's <br />Bank <br />Jay E. Cohn requested a variance of §34-102.4(g)(1) of the University City Zoning Code to permit <br />erection of a directory sign for businesses with less than a minimum average floor area of four <br />thousand (4,000) square feet each at 8310-14 Olive. The variance was granted by a vote of 5 - 0 with <br />the condition that landscaping be installed per the submitted plans in the application and that said <br />landscaping be installed prior to display of the sign. <br />Case #2358 - Front yard building line variance for single family home at 840 Lionsgate, Greg <br />Mullenix for Dominion Properties <br />Mr. Mullenix requested a variance of §34-30.3(b) of the University City Zoning Code to permit <br />construction of a single family home that will encroach 5' past the 25' front building line at 840 <br />Lionsgate (Lot 11 of Amherst Place). The variance was granted by a vote of 5 - 0. <br />Case #2359 - Side yard variance for air conditioning unit at 553 Mapleview, Carl E. Darigo <br />Mr. Darigo requested a variance of §34-24.4(d) and §34-52.5(b) of the University City Zoning Code <br />to locate an air conditioning unit in his side yard that will encroach up to 4.5' into the 6' required side <br />yard at 553 Mapleview. The variance was granted by a vote of 4 - 1. <br />Case #2315 - Extension of off-premise real estate sign variance at 8214 Olive / 8200 <br />Swarthmore, Arthur Roufa and Bernard Tobin for the Toro Corporation <br />Mr. Roufa requested a six month extension of Variance #2315 originally granted on November 20, <br />1991, extended on May 20, 1992, extended for a second time on October 21, 1992 and extended for <br />a third time on April 21, 1993. The six month extension was granted by a vote of 4 - 1. <br />
