BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES

Date
: July 17, 2002
From
: Frank B. Hill, Zoning Administrator
Re
: Board of Adjustment Meeting

July 17, 2002
A Board of Adjustment meeting was held on in the E.O.C. room of City Hall. The
meeting commenced at 7:30 p.m.

Members Present Members Absent

David Neiers, Chairperson Joseph Brown
Tim Michels Mary Johnson, Second Alternate
Raymond Reckamp, First Alternate Mary Tonkin, Third Alternate
John Solodar
Melissa Kreishman

Staff Present

Frank B. Hill, Zoning Administrator

Case #2421 – rear yard variance for addition at 8059 Teasdale

Mark Mehlman representing Manlin-Mehlman Development, 211 S. Central 63105 requested a
variance of Section 34-32, 34-57.2 of the Zoning Code in order to construct a two-story two-family
dwelling, which will have an access drive closer than 150 feet to an intersection and will have a lot
size less than 20,000 sq ft and will have a building setback of less than 20 feet (15 ft) along the side
street and a side yard setback of less than 15 ft (5ft) on the side yard at 7300 Forsyth. The variance
was approved by a vote of 4 to 0 with all members voting yes (to approve the variance) but Mr.
A@
Neiers abstained.

Case #2422 – side yard variance for addition at 6903 Waterman

Robert and Cnthia Wilhelm, 6903 Waterman requested a variance of Section 34-55.4 of the Zoning
Code in order to construct an addition to their home that will encroach 7’ into the required 15’ side
yard setback at 6903 Waterman. Since it looked like the applicant was going to fail to obtain 4 out of
four votes (with Ms. Kreishman abstaining because she is a neighbor) Mr. Neiers proposed that the
applicants come back next month when someone won’t have to abstain. The applicants and the
board agreed to this. Subsequently, the applicant withdrew their application before the next
meeting.

Q:\WPOFFICE\WPDATA\M-2002-07-17.ADJ.DOCX
