<br />March 25, 2010 <br />Economic Development Retail Sales Tax Board Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />In attendance were Board members Ellen Bern, Janet Wilson, Rosalind WilIiams, <br />and Tim Tucker. Also in attendance were Andrea Riganti, Joe Edwards, <br />Jonathan Stern, and Shelley Welsch. The meeting began at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Andrea Riganti presented an overview of previous Olive Boulevard plans and <br />projects. <br /> <br /> The budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2010-11 was proposed as follows: <br /> <br /> Program Administration $40,000 <br /> Loop Business District <br /> Parking Sign 24,000 <br /> 10 bike racks 10,000 <br /> Parking garage signs 12,000 <br /> Contingency 4,000 <br /> Economic Development Specialist 60,000 <br /> Olive Implementation Funds 250,000 <br /> Olive Marketing 50,000 <br /> <br />Total Budget: $450,000 <br /> <br /> <br />Rosalind Williams motioned approval of the proposed budget. Tim Tucker <br />seconded and the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Board agreed to host a public meeting in late April on the proposed budget <br />and to send postcards to business people and property owners in the tax district <br />inviting them to the meeting. <br /> <br />The Board also agreed to host two public meetings in April to present the Olive <br />Boulevard Marketing Strategy to business owners. Andrea Riganti would <br />determine the meeting dates and locations and report back to Board members. <br /> <br />Rosalind, Tim, Ellen and Jonathan Stern agreed to meet to discuss a proposed <br />job description for the economic development specialist.
