MINUTES <br /> <br />the next meeting of the HPC <br /> <br />4.Considerable discussion ensued around the contents of the letter from the Director of <br />Planning and Development to the HPC dated December 11, 2002. The contents of <br />that letter related to at 6364 Pershing as well as the Powers and Duties of the Historic <br />Preservation Commission. Mr. Palley and Mr. Heise both indicated that they were in <br />support of the Director's letter to the Commission. Mr. Marsh was not in <br />agreement. Members of the public present, Ms. Judy Little and Mr. Tom Knoten were <br />both of the opinion that the Historic Preservation Commission had the authority to <br />direct staff. Mr. Walker indicated that the Duties and Powers of the Commission were <br />specified by City ordinance which is adopted by City Council. <br /> <br />5.It was agreed that an agenda item for the next Commission meeting would be <br />"Duties and Powers of the Historic Preservation Commission." <br /> <br />6.Councilman Lieberman provided an update of University City Council activities. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
