University City Library board meeting minutes, / l/11/2009 <br />Actions <br />a. Member Glassman moved that the board accept the bid from Bell Electric for $11,529 to <br />replace the bulbs in the library, including behind the circulation desk and in the <br />auditorium. Bell had the lowest cost per year over ten years at $1153 per year (not including any defective sockets that need replacement @ $6.251ea.). Lamp life is 36,000 <br />hours (10 years) and warm 3500K lamps are specified. Member Hoffman seconded the <br />motion and the motion was approved. <br />b. Member Baldwin moved that the Library close on December 2-3 to allow the upgrade to <br />the catalog computer system and hopefully the light replacements to occur without disruption to patrons and staff. Staff will work those days. Member Lieberman seconded <br />the motion and the motion was approved. <br />c. Member Baldwin moved that the board approve the draft pandemic flu policy to address <br />the potential for widespread absenteeism by staff due to H1N1 and seasonal flu.
