<br /> <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br />REGULAR MEETING OF THE PARK COMMISSION <br />April 26, 2005 <br />Heman Park Community Center <br /> 975 Pennsylvania <br />6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />President Smorodin called the meeting to order at 6:39 pm. <br /> <br />Absent: Charles Mosley <br /> <br /> <br />1.Disposition of Minutes from March 22, 2005 <br />Corrections: Fiscal year 2005-2006 fees section B Tennis elimination of fees. <br />Move to accept minutes with corrections; <br /> <br />Motioned by: Carl Seltzer Seconded: Evelyn Irving <br />Approved unanimously <br /> <br /> <br />2. <br />Citizens’ comments on items not on Agenda <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />3.Council Liaison Report (Francine Brungardt) <br /> <br />?Budget meeting for FY 05-06 are occurring <br /> <br />?Ward 2 Wilson Square – raw sewage backflow problem <br /> <br />?Fee for Community Center approved as per Park Commission recommendations <br /> <br />?Council Retreat <br /> <br />?U City in Bloom plant sale <br />th <br /> <br />?Next Council meeting April 4 <br /> <br /> <br />4.Renewal of contract with Midwest Pool Management <br />Nancy gave a short presentation on the effects of having Midwest Pool Management and <br />the pool surveys taken at the end of the swimming season, she handed out a program <br />sheet of the new program and talk about the 3 meter dive ladder needing to be replaced <br />because of insurance concerns. <br />President Smorodin offered two motions: <br />1. <br /> The Park Commission recommend the operation of Heman Park Pool be return <br />to the City and its Parks and Recreation department and terminate the contract <br />with Midwest Pool Management. <br /> <br />2. <br /> The Park Commission recommends the agreement with Midwest Pool <br />Management be continued as contracted. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />
