<br /> <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br />REGULAR MEETING OF THE PARK COMMISSION <br />March 22, 2005 <br />Heman Park Community Center <br /> 975 Pennsylvania <br />6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />President Smorodin called the meeting to order at 6:39 pm. <br /> <br />Absent: Doyle Mitchell <br /> <br /> <br />1.Disposition of Minutes from February 22, 2005 <br />Corrections: Rabe Park was missed spelled; Nancy gave a presentation on the marketing <br />plan and the selected name of the complex as Centennial Commons. <br />Move to accept minutes with corrections; <br /> <br />Motioned by: Les Palmer Seconded: James Sutton <br />Approved unanimously <br /> <br /> <br />2. <br />Citizens’ comments on items not on Agenda <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />3.Council Liaison Report (Francine Brungardt) <br /> <br />?Economic Development Task Force is finishing up it plan along with work from <br />planning department <br /> <br />?New Tree Ordinance in the works <br /> <br />?Budget discussion are starting <br /> <br />?Citizen Academy will be taking application for June class see Lt. Jackson <br />th <br /> <br />?Study session April 9 <br />th <br /> <br />?Next Council meeting March 28 <br /> <br /> <br />4.Fiscal year 2005-2006 Fees <br />After a discussion on new fees, Commission voted separately on each item: <br /> <br />A.Picnic Shelter – Les Palmer moved to accept new fees; Jeff Dee seconded; vote <br />unanimous <br /> <br />B.Tennis – After a brief discussion James Sutton moved to accept new fees; Charles <br />Mosley seconded; vote unanimous <br /> <br />C.Sports fields – These fees are not applicable to Sports Association & Soccer <br />Association, which have players fees; after a discussion on resident and non- <br />resident rates it was moved by Les Palmer to accept new fees; seconded by Jeff <br />Dee; vote unanimous <br /> <br />
