<br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />November 22, 2005 <br />Heman Park Community Center <br /> <br />President Ted Smorodin called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. Others present were: <br /> <br />Jerry Fitch Nancy MacCartney, Director <br />James Sutton Tracy Collins, Administrative Secretary <br />Charles Mosley Francine Brungardt, Council Liaison <br /> <br />Doyle Mitchell <br />Livingstone Sykes <br /> <br />Excused: Mary Hart, Carl Seltzer, Evelyn Irving, Doyle Mitchell <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from September 27, 2005 <br />Council wants Commission members present and absent to be listed on minutes. Golf <br />report was incorrect, will have corrected copy in next meeting’s packet. <br /> <br />Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda <br />Elise Glickert gave a brief description of the Historical Society and encouraged the <br />commission member to join. She also stated that there was no posting of the <br />Natatorium being closed. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />Ms. Brungardt gave a brief overview of Council goals: <br />Reach an agreement on Frank Ollendorff’s retirement package set for July 14, 2005 <br />Firm is in search of new City Manager by July 1, 2006 <br />Finish five (5) year Development Plan by December 2005 <br />She also gave a description of the Council walk thru of the City Hall renovations <br /> <br />Nominating Committee for January Election <br />A nominating committee was established by commission for January election, <br />committee consists of Charles Mosley and Livingston Skyes. <br /> <br />Volunteers for Centennial Commons Grand Opening <br />Volunteers were need for the Centennial Commons Grand Opening, Jerry Fitch, <br />Charles Mosley and Ted Smorodin offered to volunteer. <br /> <br />Tour of Centennial Commons <br />Nancy gave Commission Members a tour of Centennial Commons. <br /> <br />Individual Park Reports <br />?Mr. Mosley apologized for missing meetings. He reported that his parks looked <br /> <br />great. <br /> <br />?Mr. Sutton gave Park Maintenance kudos for the maintenance efforts of the <br /> <br />parks, Lewis and Mooney Parks are in the best conditions. <br /> <br />
