Regular Meeting of the Park Commission City of University City November 22, 2005 Heman Park Community Center President Ted Smorodin called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. Others present were: Jerry Fitch Nancy MacCartney, Director James Sutton Tracy Collins, Administrative Secretary Charles Mosley Francine Brungardt, Council Liaison Doyle Mitchell Livingstone Sykes Excused: Mary Hart, Carl Seltzer, Evelyn Irving, Doyle Mitchell Disposition of Minutes from September 27, 2005 Council wants Commission members present and absent to be listed on minutes. Golf report was incorrect, will have corrected copy in next meeting’s packet. Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda Elise Glickert gave a brief description of the Historical Society and encouraged the commission member to join. She also stated that there was no posting of the Natatorium being closed. Council Liaison Report Ms. Brungardt gave a brief overview of Council goals: Reach an agreement on Frank Ollendorff’s retirement package set for July 14, 2005 Firm is in search of new City Manager by July 1, 2006 Finish five (5) year Development Plan by December 2005 She also gave a description of the Council walk thru of the City Hall renovations Nominating Committee for January Election A nominating committee was established by commission for January election, committee consists of Charles Mosley and Livingston Skyes. Volunteers for Centennial Commons Grand Opening Volunteers were need for the Centennial Commons Grand Opening, Jerry Fitch, Charles Mosley and Ted Smorodin offered to volunteer. Tour of Centennial Commons Nancy gave Commission Members a tour of Centennial Commons. Individual Park Reports ?Mr. Mosley apologized for missing meetings. He reported that his parks looked great. ?Mr. Sutton gave Park Maintenance kudos for the maintenance efforts of the parks, Lewis and Mooney Parks are in the best conditions.
