<br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />September 27, 2006 <br />Centennial Commons <br /> <br />President James Sutton called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Others present were: <br /> <br />Mary Hart, Vice President Arthur Sharpe Jr., Council Liaison <br />Jerry Fitch Nancy MacCartney, Director of Parks <br />Livingstone Sykes Tracy Collins, Administrative Secretary <br />Carl Seltzer <br />Charles Mosley <br /> <br /> <br />Excused: Evelyn Irving, Ted Smorodin and Doyle Mitchell <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from June 27, 2006 <br />Mr. Fitch motioned to approve minutes as written. Vice President Hart seconded; motion passed <br />unanimously <br /> <br />Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda <br />Wilma Kennell of 1332 Purdue wanted to know if a bike path was in future plans. Ms. MacCartney <br />explained the Centennial Greenway project to her. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />Mr. Sharpe reported: NW Neiborhood plan meeting, October 12th at 6:30 @ Community Center; <br />th <br />NE Neiborhood plan meeting, October 19 from 6:30 to 8:30; City is receiving an award from the <br />St Louis County Municipal League; MO Law & Charter is being reviewed; Lamp posts down, <br />talking to Ameren; Tree Ordinance; Pit Bull Ordinance; Sutter Meyer House planning; Senior <br />Service Board funds cut from the state <br /> <br />Grants <br />Ms. MacCartney gave a brief overview of the LWCF & Muni grants. Vice President Hart motioned <br />to recommend resolulation to Council; Mr. Fitch seconded <br />Discussion: Mr. Sykes asked if the City had any financial responsibility; Ms MacCartney explained <br />the “in good faith” in submitting a grant that the city would appropriate capital funds needed to <br />complete the project <br /> <br />Summer 2006 Heman Pool Evaluation <br />Ms. MacCartney briefly went over report; Mr. Sykes asked if there were a change in pool hours at <br />the Natatorium, MS Taylor explained the schedule changes <br /> <br />Natatorium Pass Fees <br />Ms. MacCartney gave a brief explanation of the fees. Mr. Fitch ask how were the rates decided; <br />Ms. MacCartney explained the conditions of use and overall conditions of facility; Mr. Sykes <br />motioned to recommend fees; Mr. Fitch seconded; motion passed unanimously <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
