Memorial bench in Flynn Park <br />After a brief description of bench, it was motioned by Mr. Seltzer to approve placement <br />of the bench in Flynn Park. Seconded by Mr. Fitch. Vote – unanimous, motion passed. <br /> <br /> <br />Program Fees <br />Nancy gave a brief description of staff recommendation of being allowed flexibility with <br />the fees policy, after a discussion Mr. Seltzer motioned to approve staff <br />recommendation with the understanding Park Commission will be notified as soon as <br />possible, Mr. Sutton seconded the motion, vote 2 to 5, motion did not pass. Mr. Sykes <br />motioned to approve, with the understanding that Park Commission would be notified <br />at its next meeting; Mr. Fitch seconded the motion, vote 4-0, 1 none vote. Motion <br />passed <br /> <br />Election <br />A vote for President and Vice President was taken; it was voted (4-2-2) that Mr. James <br />Sutton would serve as President and Ms. Mary Hart would serve as Vice President, vote <br />7-1. <br /> <br />Department Report <br />Nancy gave Commission member a report of membership sales thus far, she stated that <br />we had exceeded our proforma , but not our revenues, due to specials (discounts, <br />early bird), but are selling many passes on a daily basis; She reported we received a <br />grant for Kaufman Park playground improvement, project will start this spring; She gave <br />a brief overview of our budget; She reported the need to close the lighted fields in <br />Heman Park and how it would effect the sports activities for the different groups <br />(Soccer Club and Sports Association)that use the fields. <br /> <br /> <br />Individual Park Reports <br />?Mr. Mosley reported his parks look fine <br /> <br /> <br />?Mr. Sutton reported looks nice, except the pond looked a little green, he wasn’t <br /> <br />sure if that was suppose to happen, Ms. MacCartney assured him it was normal. <br /> <br />?Ms. Irving reported Rabe Park look fine, the water fountain had been fixed. She <br /> <br />reported the shelter area in Millar Park has no grass and the handicap sign has <br />not been reinstalled. She also, wanted the thank Park Maintenance for <br />removing the graffiti from the trees. <br /> <br />?Mr. Doyle reported Lewis Park looks fine, except the pool has debris in it. <br /> <br /> <br />?Mr. Sykes reported Mooney Park looks good, except those thing previously <br /> <br />mentioned. <br /> <br />Mr. Seltzer mentioned that the report for the Natatorium was incorrect. <br /> <br /> <br />Old Business <br />Ms. Irving stated that she would like for items presented to the Commission have a clear <br />understanding, because it was said that the issue of non resident pool use was <br />presented to Commission under something different. Ms. MacCartney stated that <br />when the end of the year Pool report was presented to Commission it also, included <br /> <br />
