<br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />November 27, 2007 <br />Centennial Commons <br /> <br />Vice President Mary Hart called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Others present were: <br /> <br />Caryn St Clair Arthur Sharpe Jr., Council Liaison <br />Karen Dille Lynda Euell-Taylor, Recreation Superintendent <br />Livingston Sykes Tracy Collins, Department Liaison <br />Linda Peoples Nancy MacCartney, Director of Parks <br />Karen Palmer <br />Jerry Fitch <br /> <br />Absent: James Sutton, President and John Sterbenz <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from October 23, 2007 <br />Ms. Palmer motioned to accept minutes as written. Mr. Fitch second, motion passed. <br /> <br />Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda <br />None <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />Mr. Sharpe reported: U City Calendar Photos; County Highway I-64/40; Candidate <br />Workshop; 12/7 Ribbon Cutting I-170 Bridge/open on 12/22; Civics course at City Hall <br /> <br />2007 Pool Report Update <br />Ms. MacCartney briefly explained her memo on the 2007 Pool season, reminding <br />everyone that it a factual report not financial, after a brief discussion Ms. St Clair move <br />to accept the 2007 Pool Report, Mr. Sykes second, motion passed <br /> <br />Fall Recreation Programs <br />Ms. Euell-Taylor, Recreation Superintendent gave an overview of the upcoming <br />programs, after a brief discussion Mr. Sykes move to accept the programs and fees, Mr. <br />Fitch second, motion passed <br /> <br />Election <br />Election results are as follows; President - Livingston Sykes with 7 votes (unanimous); Vice <br />President – Linda Peoples with 4 votes and Karen Dillie with 3 votes. <br /> <br />Department Report <br />Ms. MacCartney reported on: Grant scoring, Dec. 14 at Creve Coeur City Hall; <br />th <br />update on Trails Project-bridge installation, fencing, asphalt by Purdue Bridge, warning <br />signs, site amenities; Parks Master Plan; Ruth Park Driving Range/Teaching Center – <br />preparing bids, site work, cart paths, netting, lighting and supplies. <br /> <br />Individual Park Reports <br />Heman Park – Spikes exposed at Shaftsbury; Picnic Shelter at the tennis court need <br />painting; Bridge over River Des Peres need cleaning <br /> <br />
