<br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />September 25, 2007 <br />Centennial Commons <br /> <br />President James Sutton called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Others present were: <br /> <br />Caryn St Clair Arthur Sharpe Jr., Council Liaison <br />Karen Dille Curt Wright, Recreation Supervisor <br />Livingstone Sykes Tracy Collins, Department Liaison <br />Linda Peoples <br />John Sterbenz <br />Karen Palmer <br />Jerry Fitch <br /> <br />Excused: Mary Hart, Vice President <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from July 24, 2007 <br />Mr. Sterbenz motioned to accept minutes with corrections; Mr. Sykes second, motion <br />passed. <br /> <br />Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda <br />None <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />Mr. Sharpe reported: St Louis County to spray for mosquito; Automated recycling <br /> <br />Naming Walking path at Millar Park <br />Mr. Fitch motion to recommend to City Council the walking path at Millar Park be <br />named The Betty L Thompson Walking Path, Mr Sykes second; motion passed <br /> <br />School Based Youth Sports <br />Mr Curt Wright, Recreation Supervisor, gave an overview of the programs and <br />advertising. Mr Sterbenz recommended the approval of the basketball programs fees, <br />Mr Sykes second, after a brief discussion a vote was taken, motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Fall 2007 Recreation Programs <br />Ms. St. Clair motion to approve additional fall programs and fees; Mr. Fitch second, <br />after a vote motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />2007 Summer Pool Evaluation <br />Mr Sterbenz motion to accept the 2007 Pool Evaluation, Ms Palmer second, a discussion <br />a vote was taken, motion was defeated. Commission would like to see supportive <br />information, such as goal for the season. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
