Basement Meeting Room of City Hall on Wednesday, December 18, 1985, <br />convening at 7:38 p.m. with Chairman Esley Hamilton presiding. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />Voting Members Present: <br /> <br />Mary Cook <br />Esley Hamil ton <br />Michael Kennedy <br />Canice T. Rice, Jr. <br />Mary Schuman <br />Booker T. Washington <br /> <br />Council Liaison Present: Paul Schoomer <br /> <br />Staff Present: Frank Ollendorff, City Manager, Al Goldman, Director of <br />Planning and Sarah Elwood, Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The following corrections were made to the minutes of November 20, 1985: <br /> <br />The word "sudden" was changed to "piecemeal" in the first line of the <br />fourth paragraph of page 5. On page 6, the second sentence of the first <br />full paragraph was corrected to read: "Chairman Hamilton suggested the <br />possibility that the two commissions meet jointly to discuss the findings <br />thoroughly." There being no further corrections, Mr. Rice moved that the <br />minutes of the November 20, 1985 meeting be approved as corrected. The <br />motion was seconded by Ms Schuman and passed by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />Mr. McCauley arrived at 7:44 p.m. <br /> <br />REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY AT 7717 DELMAR FROM "MR" TO "LC" <br /> <br />Mr. William Albrecht presented a request to rezone the property at 7717 <br />Delmar Boulevard from "MR" to "LC". He stated to the Commission that he <br />planned to use the ground floor of the two-family flat as a law office and <br />have a residential tenant occupy the second floor. He planned to have no <br />more than two attorneys and two secretaries working in the building at any <br />one time and expected traffic from clients to be minimal. In general, he <br />thought the proposed use of the house would be compatible with the various <br />surrounding uses. <br />
