AUTOMOBILE
FILLING STATION AND CONVENIENCE FOOD MART AT 7449 OLIVE BOULEVARD

Acting Chairman Rice announced that the Plan Commission had scheduled a Public
Hearing to consider the application of the Shell Oil Company for a Conditional
Use Permit in order to allow property at 7449 Olive Boulevard to be used for
an automobile filling station and convenience food mart. Sarah Elwood, Zoning
Administrator, informed the Commission that the Shell Oil Company, through its
agent and architect, Steven Polk of Polk and Vouga, Inc., had requested that
the application for a Conditional Use Permit be deferred and the Public
Hearing be postponed until the Plan Commission's August meeting.

Mr. Rice noted that while the service station and property at 7449 Olive had
been sold by Herman Nowack to the Shell Oil Company, Shell was currently
operating a filling station and car wash at that location but had closed the
service bays. He has heard that Shell was currently operating some kind of
convenience store operation there. The Zoning Administrator indicated that
she would inspect the property in light of this information.
