.

.

Minutes - Plan Commission
Page 3
July 22, 1987

Mr. Adams reported that plans for the new street connecting Delmar Boulevard
to the proposed McKnight Place Retirement Development were progressing and
that property transfers from the owners of the Attache Building and the
Montmarte Building had been effected. Mr. Adams also reported that the City
Council was currently considering potential modifications of Zoning Code and
Municipal Code regulations regarding parking of trucks and recreational
vehicles on City streets and private property.

Acting Chairman Rice stated that he had received several letters from
residents on Linden Avenue expressing their individual and collective concern
over potential redevelopment of the area between North and South Road and
Hanley Road and Delmar Boulevard south to the city limits. Residents of
Linden Avenue and members of the Historic Preservation Commission were
considering designating Linden Avenue as a local Historic District. Ms.
Schuman suggested that with redevelopment proposals pending in this area of
the city, the Plan Commission should schedule a meeting to tour Linden Avenue
and the surrounding area and develop a planning perspective toward issues of
concern. Commission members then agreed to meet on Saturday, August 22 at
9 a.m. for this special meeting.

Mr. Goldman stated that the meeting would provide valuable training for new
Commission members. He suggested further training sessions, possibly in
cooperation with the Clayton Plan Commission or Olivette Plan Commission.

ADJOURNMENT

The meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
